At Foo Camp

The day stated at about 4:15, with eggs and toast. There’s something to be said for wheat toast, black coffee and a fried egg at 4:30AM. That’s the breakfast of champions, right? Or at least, its the breakfast you’re not embarrassed to tell anyone about.

Paul came over and picked me up, and before I knew it, we were in the air and on the road to San Fransisco. We stopped over in Cleavland, which definitely marks the first time I’ve stopped over there.

After a lengthy sojourn at the Alamo rental desk, we found ourselves on the road. I talked Paul into going into SF proper, where we visited Union Square, had lunch at the Sears Fine Foods (not the department store), and hit the road on a beautiful, fall-feeling day. The 101 sent us north via the Golden Gate bridge, and Friday afternoon traffic was stop and go. The ride, nevertheless, was beautiful and enjoyable.

We arrived at Foo Camp, found choice rooms, and headed down to socialize. That pretty much takes us up to now. The sun is setting over California, and the night has just begun.
