Thanks for the suggestion. I only assumed Freedom was involved because as soon as my internet-free time elapsed, all returned to normal with force quit and the remote.

I’ll re-install 0.4, try again, and see if the same thing happens.

Hmm, neither of those symptoms would be caused by Freedom. I haven’t received any bug reports of that nature.

It sorta sounds like your Finder/Dock crashed, something that happens from time to time. If that happens again, open a terminal and type ‘killall -9 Finder’.

Oh but wait, I just tried out the new version and am finding it difficult in two particular ways:

1. is it supposed to disable my apple remote? i like living internet-free, but would ideally like to adjust iTunes without switching back and forth between apps.

2. i see why my ability to force quit Freedom ought to be disabled. However, I was barred from force quitting any applications at all – again, a problem when I regrettably told PowerPoint to do too many things at once.

Have other users found these things difficult? I returned to v. .3 for now.
